Job summary

E-Space, based in Santa Clara, CA, seeks a Constellation Modeling and Simulations Architect to lead end-to-end satellite constellation design and performance analysis. You will model networks, optimize geometry, and produce link budgets for MSS/FSS while coordinating with engineering and regulatory teams.

You have 5+ years in LEO/MEO constellation work, hands-on use of STK/GMAT/FreeFlyer, and a track record of delivering robust simulations and technical documentation for complex space systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in LEO and/or MEO satellite constellation design.
• Proven experience developing and closing satellite communications link budgets.
• Strong understanding of orbital mechanics and constellation optimization.
• Experience producing technical documentation for satellite system design and regulatory submissions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and maintenance of the overall constellation architecture and design baseline.
• Define and freeze constellation geometry to support downstream spacecraft procurement and program execution.
• Develop and validate end-to-end link budgets across MSS and FSS, considering rain fade and Doppler.
• Perform coverage analysis and network simulations to optimize service availability and capacity.
• Conduct interference and EPFD studies to support regulatory compliance.
• Produce technical documentation supporting regulatory filings and deployment planning.
