Job summary

Townsend Company in Carmel, IN is seeking a Design & Build Foreperson to lead a residential landscape installation crew of 3–5 associates, ensuring high-quality execution and accurate daily reporting.

You will supervise installation work, train crew members, communicate with clients, maintain documentation, operate landscape equipment, and uphold safety and productivity standards across projects. This role is based in Indiana with potential limited travel and a pre-employment screening process.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in residential landscape installation.
• Knowledge of landscape materials such as stone, timber retaining walls, brick, and pavers.

Responsibilities

• Lead, assign, and direct daily work for a crew of 3–5 employees.
• Train team members on installation techniques and safety practices.
• Maintain accurate daily worksheets and job documentation; ensure client communication.
• Operate landscape construction equipment (e.g., Bobcats) and support site operations.
• Ensure projects meet quality standards and productivity targets.
