Job summary

Element Consulting Inc. is seeking an accomplished Landscape Architect with leadership experience to oversee the Landscape Unit for district greening and site development projects in Los Angeles area.

You will guide design, planning, and implementation, ensuring high standards across all phases from concept to certification. The role requires a minimum of ten years in landscape architecture, plus at least three years leading a team.

Qualifications

• Ten years of professional landscape architectural design experience on commercial/public projects.
• Minimum three years supervising a team of landscape architects and related staff.
• Experience with AutoCad design software.
• Experience with Land F/X for landscape and irrigation design.
• Proficiency in computer office software (Word, Excel, Adobe, etc.).
• Experience with graphic design and rendering software (Adobe Suite, Photoshop, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Oversee the staff, projects, programs, and activities of the Landscape Unit, providing professional leadership and guidance.
• Provide technical direction to consultant landscape architects and design professionals.
• Serve as Landscape Architect of Record for District-designed projects and certify landscape plans and specs.
• Plan, develop, and direct highly complex landscape projects including greening and site improvements.
• Direct and supervise preparation and coordination of landscape drawings and construction documents.
• Lead community engagement with school principals, teachers, and stakeholders.
• Review and approve consultant task orders, scopes of work, and proposals.
• Ensure compliance with laws, codes, standards, and District requirements.
