Job summary

ZT Systems in Georgetown, TX is hiring a Construction Project Manager to oversee engineering lab buildouts, manufacturing space expansions, and energy upgrades. You will interface with operations, R&D, and architectural/engineering partners to deliver projects on time and within budget.

The role requires a hands-on approach across design, procurement, and turnover, with strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical building systems and experience in large-scale facilities.

Qualifications

• A bachelors degree in engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
• 4d7-8 years of construction, construction management, or facilities management experience.
• Ability to read and assess construction plans and specifications.
• Strong written and oral communication with technical stakeholders.
• Experience contracting and budget management.

Responsibilities

• Lead scope reviews with internal engineering/operations teams, engineering, and architectural firms.
• Oversee planning, design, budgeting, permitting and construction of labs and manufacturing space and facility expansions.
• Manage construction documents in electronic plan room (plans, RFIs, submittals).
• Partner with CM firms to develop scopes, conduct bid reviews, and initiate contracts.
• Provide site management and coordination between production and contractors.
• Review changes for cost/schedule impact; establish project scheduling and procurement systems.
• Facilitate turnover of completed projects to engineering/operations and facilities teams.
• Assess facility power and cooling needs based on forecasted demand.
