Job summary

Piedmont Fayette Hospital is seeking a phlebotomist to oversee phlebotomy and specimen processing services in a busy hospital laboratory. You will act as the technical expert for phlebotomy and specimen collection, coordinating phlebotomy and lab assistant activities to ensure timely and safe specimen handling according to established protocols.

Required: HS diploma or GED plus 2 years' phlebotomy experience or lab processing. A CPT phlebotomy certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years phlebotomy experience and/or lab processor/ lab assistant experience.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee phlebotomy and specimen processing services.

Qualifications

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required

Work Experience

• 2 years of phlebotomy experience and/or lab processor or lab assistant Required
• Experience working in a hospital Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• None Required
• CPT - Phlebotomy Technician Certification Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency Preferred
