Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, GA is hiring for a Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist with a sign-on bonus. The schedule includes a special weekend option: 9am-9pm on Saturdays and Sundays, and Friday 2-10pm. Location is Piedmont Fayette Hospital, Fayetteville, GA.

The role processes specimens, performs venipunctures, and supports technical staff in non-clinical tasks. Education requires a high school diploma or GED; phlebotomy certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• No experience required; 1 year of phlebotomy preferred.
• EKG experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (ASCP/ASPT/NCA or equivalent).

Responsabilités

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable standards.
• Performs venipunctures and prepares blood specimens per Piedmont policies.
• Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.

Responsibilities:

Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable regulatory, established standards as may be applicable. Performs venipunctures at entities where applicable, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures. Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.

Qualifications:

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required

Work Experience

• No experience required Required
• 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist Preferred
• Experience in performing EKGs Preferred
• Experience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• None Required
• CPT - Phlebotomy Technician Certification Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency Preferred
