Job summary

ICE in New York is seeking a Lead Platform Engineer to enhance their Kubernetes Platform Engineering team. The successful candidate will own the delivery of platform features, mentor team members, and work across the full platform stack. This role requires a deep understanding of Kubernetes and strong communication for effective documentation.

The expected salary is between $149,400 to $180,000 USD, complemented by competitive benefits including healthcare coverage and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or a related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in a production environment.
• Strong communication skills, able to document and communicate changes.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver platform features and enhancements, from design through deployment.
• Lead onboarding of new teams onto the platform via self-service workflows.
• Implement and tune Kyverno admission control policies for security.
