Job summary

Aramark United States is seeking a Lead General Utility Worker to oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of front and back of house facilities. This role may delegate duties to utility staff, adapting to client requirements and business needs.

Responsibilities include training staff on safety and sanitation, keeping dishes and equipment clean and sanitized, and maintaining dishwashing areas and storerooms. The position emphasizes guest satisfaction and adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in a similar role.
• Ability to exercise judgment based on experience to solve problems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• May act as an informal resource for less experienced colleagues.
• Knowledge of proper use and cleaning techniques for kitchen equipment (steamers, ovens, mixers, grills, dishwashing).
• Understanding of basic sanitation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Trains and guides utility staff on duties and safety/sanitation procedures.
• Maintains cleanliness of dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glassware and kitchen utensils.
• Cleans and maintains the dishwashing station, three-compartment sink and storerooms.
• Ensures equipment is clean and functional; reports issues to management.
• Performs light maintenance and custodial tasks.
• Maintains excellent customer service and a positive attitude toward guests and staff.
• Follows Aramark safety policies including food safety and sanitation.
