Job summary

New Hampshire Veterans Home | Mfinite Consulting seeks an experienced Kitchen Supervisor / Lead Cook to lead meal preparation and shift coordination for the dietary department, supporting veteran residents, including those in the life-enhanced dementia unit.

You will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure recipe adherence, supervise staff, and uphold sanitation and safety protocols in line with CDC/OSHA guidelines. Flexibility to cover various kitchen tasks is required.

Qualifications

• Prior food service supervisory or lead cook experience required.
• Ability to read recipes and follow written directions accurately.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push carts.
• ServSafe certification strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations, meal prep timelines, and shift coordination
• Ensure recipe adherence and consistent food quality and portioning
• Supervise cooks, food service workers, and dishwashing/cleaning staff during assigned shifts
• Uphold kitchen sanitation, food safety, and infection-prevention protocols
• Communicate staffing or supply issues promptly to site lead and dietary management
• Step into cook, prep, or service duties as needed to keep meal service running
