Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks a Lead Kitchen/Dietary Services to supervise dietary aides, delegate tasks, and coach staff. The role opens/closes the kitchen and oversees tray line service, with duties in catering support and regulatory record keeping.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or GED equivalent programs.
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Dietary Aide or equivalent.
• To work every other weekend.
• To work four out of six holidays.
• Rotating schedules/shifts as needed.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Supervise dietary aides and delegate tasks.
• Open or close the kitchen and oversee tray line service.
• Train new hires as needed and support catering delivery.
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, and inventory processes.
• Record temperatures and report equipment issues to management.
