Job summary

Cresco Labs is seeking a Lead Edibles Agent to oversee daily edible production and packaging on our 1st shift. You will ensure safety, quality, inventory control, and adherence to GMP and SOPs while fostering a productive work environment.

You will manage production plans to meet demand, supervise kitchen and packaging staff, and coordinate with Purchasing/Supply Chain for timely material delivery. The role requires food-manufacturing experience and mentoring ability, with lift capacity up to 50

Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience in food or confectionary processing/manufacturing preferred.
  • Experience in training, leading and/or mentoring staff or new hires preferred.
  • Adequate understanding of production machinery; equipment; processing; blending; extraction; shelf-stable products and quality knowledge.
  • Expert knowledge of SOPs, GFSI, GMP, and company policies.
  • Knowledge of production, pack out, and inventory control procedures/concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in hiring, onboarding, performance management and coaching actions.
  • Supervises kitchen and packaging agents with motivation, training and development.
  • Enforces SOPs and manufacturing formulas.
  • Maintains a safe, sanitary work environment at all times.
  • Ensures GMP compliance and conducts sanitation and quality checks.
  • Develops production plans to meet demand and inventory levels.
  • Coordinates with Purchasing/Supply Chain for timely delivery of ingredients and packaging.
  • Oversees training for new products, equipment and personnel.

Job Summary

The Lead Edibles Agent oversees daily edible production and packaging operations at the facility level on our 1st shift team. This individual will create and maintain a workplace environment that ensures employee safety & performance, product quality, appropriate inventory levels, and upholds GFSI and GMP standards. This role will also focus on thorough adherence of standard operating procedures, work instructions, and manufacturing formulas.

Core Job Duties
  • Activelyparticipatesin the hiring process, employee on-boarding, performance management and provides coaching/corrective actions regularly
  • Supervises kitchen and packaging agents by providing motivation,trainingand development
  • Enforces strict compliance to standard operating procedures and manufacturing formulas
  • Maintains a safe and sanitary work environment at all times
  • Ensures qualityobjectivesare met including regular adherence to GMPs, performance of sanitation audits, food safetychecksand product quality checks
  • Monitors manufacturing and implements corrective action planning when needed to meet company objectives
  • Develops production plans tomaintaininventory levels asdeterminedby sales and operationsdemand
  • Collaborates with Purchasing/Supply Chain to ensuretimelydelivery of ingredients and packaging materials
  • Ensures proper weekly inventory, logging and storage of all materials and packaging
  • Oversees implementation and training for new products, equipment, and personnel
  • Recommends and implements efficiency improvements
Required Experience, Education and Skills
  • 2+years experiencein food or confectionary processing/manufacturing preferred.
  • Experience in training, leading and/or mentoring staff or new hires preferred.
  • Demonstrates an adequate understanding of production machinery; equipment; processing; blending; extraction; shelf-stable products, quality, and/orotherrequisite technical knowledge
  • Demonstrates expert knowledge of SOPs, GFSI, GMP, and other company policies
  • Demonstrates knowledge of production, pack out, and inventory control procedures/concepts
  • Requires work around plant material, which could include exposure to plant pollen and/or dust.
  • Requires ability to sit, stand,kneel,and/or do repetitive actions with your hands forlong periodsof time.
  • Requires ability tolift upto 50lbsto torso level.
