Job summary

The Lead Edibles Agent at Cresco Labs oversees daily edible production and packaging on the 1st shift. This role ensures safety, product quality, proper inventory, and adherence to GMP and GFSI standards.

You will implement SOPs, train staff, and optimize processes at the facility. Based in Fall River, MA, you will collaborate with Purchasing/Supply Chain, develop production plans, and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in food/confectionery processing/manufacturing.
• Experience in training, leading and mentoring staff.
• Understanding of production machinery, processing and formulas.
• Knowledge of SOPs, GFSI, GMP and company policies.
• Knowledge of production, pack out and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in hiring, onboarding, performance management and coaching.
• Supervises kitchen and packaging staff with training and development.
• Ensures compliance with SOPs and manufacturing formulas.
• Maintains a safe, sanitary work environment at all times.
• Monitors GMPs, sanitation audits, and product quality checks.
• Develops production plans to match demand and inventory needs.
• Collaborates with Purchasing/Supply Chain for timely materials delivery.
• Ensures weekly inventory, logging and storage of materials.
• Oversees training for new products, equipment and personnel.

Monday - Friday, 3:00pm - 11:30pm

JOB SUMMARY

The Lead Edibles Agent oversees daily edible production and packaging operations at the facility level on our 1st shift team. This individual will create and maintain a workplace environment that ensures employee safety & performance, product quality, appropriate inventory levels, and upholds GFSI and GMP standards. This role will also focus on thorough adherence of standard operating procedures, work instructions, and manufacturing formulas.

CORE JOB DUTIES

• Actively participates in the hiring process, employee on-boarding, performance management and provides coaching/corrective actions regularly
• Supervises kitchen and packaging agents by providing motivation, training and development
• Enforces strict compliance to standard operating procedures and manufacturing formulas
• Maintains a safe and sanitary work environment at all times
• Ensures quality objectives are met including regular adherence to GMPs, performance of sanitation audits, food safety checks and product quality checks
• Monitors manufacturing and implements corrective action planning when needed to meet company objectives
• Develops production plans to maintain inventory levels as determined by sales and operations demand
• Collaborates with Purchasing/Supply Chain to ensure timely delivery of ingredients and packaging materials
• Ensures proper weekly inventory, logging and storage of all materials and packaging
• Oversees implementation and training for new products, equipment, and personnel
• Recommends and implements efficiency improvements

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS

• 2+ years experience in food or confectionary processing/manufacturing preferred.
• Experience in training, leading and/or mentoring staff or new hires preferred.
• Demonstrates an adequate understanding of production machinery; equipment; processing; blending; extraction; shelf-stable products, quality, and/or other requisite technical knowledge
• Demonstrates expert knowledge of SOPs, GFSI, GMP, and other company policies
• Demonstrates knowledge of production, pack out, and inventory control procedures/concepts
• Requires work around plant material, which could include exposure to plant pollen and/or dust.
• Requires ability to sit, stand, kneel, and/or do repetitive actions with your hands for long periods of time.
• Requires ability to lift up to 50 lb to torso level.
