Job summary

Cornerstones of Care seeks a Kinship Family Advocate to manage a Kinship caseload and represent the agency to professionals and communities. You’ll help families build natural supports to achieve safety and permanency for children while ensuring program compliance.

Required: bachelor’s degree in social work or related field, 21+, valid driver’s license, background check, and two years in child welfare; ability to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, criminal justice, human services, education, counseling or psychology.
• At least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical and drug screening.
• A valid driver’s license, proof of current vehicle insurance and reliable transportation.
• Two years of relevant experience in the child welfare arena.

Responsibilities

• Carry a Kinship caseload.
• Represent Cornerstones of Care to professionals and community partners.
• Assist families in cultivating natural supports to achieve safety and permanency for children.
• Ensure compliance with DCF and Cornerstones of Care standards and licensing requirements.
• Maintain a flexible schedule including after-hours and weekends.
