Cedarcrest Animal Hospital, LLC in Acworth, GA is seeking a Lead Kennel Assistant to provide daily care for boarding and hospitalized pets, manage admissions and discharges, and support the veterinary team with accurate documentation and compassionate client interactions.

You will monitor pet health, administer medications as directed, and maintain a clean, safe kennel environment, while delivering TLC through extra playtimes and baths upon request.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Must be in the process of obtaining or have attained a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Reasoning, reading, writing, and speaking English to perform duties proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Lead Kennel Assistant responsibilities include daily care for boarding and hospitalized pets, feeding, exercising, and ensuring a clean, safe environment.
• Manage admissions and discharges, document instructions, and maintain records for pets and owners.
• Monitor health of patients and report any signs of illness promptly to the medical team.
• Administer medications and flea/tick control as directed, documenting on the kennel medication board.
• Maintain cleanliness of cages, runs, and equipment with proper PPE to prevent infections.
• Provide extra TLC playtimes, walks, or baths as requested by clients.
