Zoot Pet Hospital in Georgetown, TX is seeking a Lead Kennel Assistant to care for boarding and hospitalized pets, providing feeding, exercise, and daily gentle handling. You’ll document instructions, support check-ins/check-outs, and alert clinicians to signs of distress, ensuring a safe, calm environment.

Qualifications

• Care for boarding pets and hospitalized patients daily.
• Record feeding, medication instructions and notes.
• Monitor pet health and report signs of distress promptly.
• Maintain clean kennels and follow PPE protocols.
• Communicate effectively with owners during check-ins/check-outs.
• Demonstrate empathy and attention to detail in caregiving.

Responsibilities

• Providing Compassionate Care: daily care to boarding pets and hospitalized patients.
• Managing Admissions and Discharges: check-ins/check-outs and documentation.
• Monitoring Patient Health: observe for vomiting, diarrhea, stress; notify team.
• Administering Medications: record instructions and apply flea/tick control.
• Maintaining a Clean Environment: disinfect cages, runs, yards, boxes, bowls.
• Delivering TLC: extra playtimes, walks, or baths on request.
