Job summary

Raymond James is seeking a Lead Engineer to drive design, coding, testing, deployment and support of CSRA IT solutions. Hybrid work with in-office presence in St. Petersburg, FL; visa sponsorship not available.

You will guide transformation of business requirements into technical design, lead teams, and ensure alignment with strategic goals while leveraging Java, Spring, Python and modern UI frameworks. The role emphasizes governance, risk, and compliance in a financial services context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Computer Science, MIS or related field.
• 5+ years’ experience with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Python, Angular.
• 5+ years in a financial services organization; GRC experience preferred.
• Relational database expertise (SQL, joins, indexes, aggregation).
• Strong OO fundamentals; REST/SOAP interfaces; SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Cloud experience (AWS, Glue, S3, Terraform) is a plus; AI tools a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex system requirements and interfaces between components.
• Lead or participate in projects; assign tasks and monitor performance.
• Propose new technologies or reuse of existing code.
• Provide technical advice and solve programming problems.
• Prepare project plans using standard tools; review test results.
