Job summary

Raymond James Financial, Inc. is seeking a Lead Engineer - Java Full Stack to drive design, development, testing, and deployment of scalable financial services applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required.
• 5+ years’ experience with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Python, and Angular or similar UI framework.
• 5+ years developing in a financial services environment, with GRC exposure preferred.
• Strong SQL skills with joins, indexes, and aggregation.
• Solid OO fundamentals and experience with REST/SOAP interfaces.
• Familiar with SDLC, Agile, and cloud technologies (AWS) is a plus.

You will lead the transformation of business requirement into technical design, develop the code, perform unit and integrating testing, deploy the applications, support, enhance the application. This role requires a blend of business acumen, technical expertise, and leadership to influence outcomes and ensure alignment with organizational goals.**Job Description****This position follows a hybrid work model, with an expectation to be in the office 3 days per week at the St. Petersburg, FL Corporate Office location. Please note: This role is not eligible for Work Visa sponsorship, either currently or in the future.****Responsibilities:*** Analyzes complex system requirements, including identifying program interactions and appropriate interfaces between impacted components and sub systems.* Make recommendations towards the development of new code or to reuse of existing code.* Leads or participates in assigned projects, including assigning tasks, coordinating efforts, and monitoring performance.* May recommend new technologies and methodologies to management for meeting business needs, resolving problems and exploiting opportunities.
