Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with 5+ years of applied experience.
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operations.
• Advanced Java server-side programming with Spring (Boot/MVC/Kafka).
• Experience designing high-throughput, low-latency 24/7 applications.
• Experience with distributed technologies and frameworks.
• SQL across Oracle/Sybase/SQL Server/CockroachDB.
• Messaging technologies (Kafka, WebSphere MQ/JMS, RabbitMQ).
• Test automation (JUnit/Mockito, Cucumber/Gherkin) and Git experience.
• Leading use of AI-assisted dev tools and validating AI outputs for correctness, security, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine approaches to build solutions.
• Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
• Drives team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes.
• Applies SDLC tooling and automation capabilities to improve value realized by automation.
• Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability.
• Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to probe architectural designs and applicability.
