Cognizant's Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Lead Java Developer (Kotlin & AWS) with experience developing and building high-performing, scalable, enterprise applications. You will be part of a digital software team working on high-demand applications. Our engineers are passionate about high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code. Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy scalable backend services and cloud-native applications using Java, Kotlin, and AWS in an Agile environment.

Basic Qualifications

1. 8-10 years of experience in application development with Java and Kotlin.
2. Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
3. Proven experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
4. Strong understanding of software development best practices.
5. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
6. Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
7. Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience with JavaScript, RDBMS (PostgreSQL, MySQL), NoSQL (DynamoDB, MongoDB).
2. Exposure to Agile methodologies.
3. Ability to develop full-stack solutions.
4. AWS Certification (Solutions Architect - Associate) is a plus.

Additional Qualifications

Experience with AWS (8-10 years), Java (8-10 years), Kotlin (4-5 years).

The annual salary ranges from $95,000 to $140,000, depending on experience and qualifications. This role is eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program.
