Job summary

Synechron, a global consulting firm, is seeking a Lead Java Developer in Pittsburgh to drive the design and development of enterprise applications using Java 17+ and Spring Boot within the AML/KYC domain.

You will own application architecture, define scalable microservices, design event-driven solutions with Apache Kafka, and mentor engineers while collaborating with product managers, DevOps, QA, and compliance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-grade applications using Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
Define and implement scalable, resilient microservices architectures.
Own application architecture, technical design, component design, and integration patterns.
Design and develop event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka.
Lead technical discussions, code reviews, design reviews, and architectural decision-making.
Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems.
Ensure applications meet enterprise standards for security, scalability, availability, performance, and maintainability.
Mentor and guide developers, promote engineering best practices, and support technical skill development.
Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, architects, DevOps teams, QA engineers, and compliance stakeholders.
