Job summary

Synechron is seeking a Java Full Stack Developer to lead our development team in designing and maintaining cutting-edge applications. A strong background in Java backend and modern frontend frameworks will help shape architecture, mentor teammates, and ensure high-quality software in a cloud-native environment.

The role includes collaboration with product managers, engineers, and DevOps, with a focus on scalable, robust systems and adherence to agile practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Java 8 or later and OO design patterns.
• Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security.
• RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems experience.
• Relational databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
• Hibernate/JPA ORM experience; unit testing with JUnit/Mockito.
• Git and modern software development workflows; Agile/Scrum experience.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Java Full Stack Developer to lead our development team in designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge applications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Java backend development and modern frontend frameworks, with a proven track record of delivering enterprise-level software solutions in a cloud-native environment. Candidate will play a critical role in shaping our architecture, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring quality standards.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $110k - $120k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of Java-based applications.
• Define technical solutions, application architecture, and development standards.
• Develop scalable, maintainable, and high-performance software using Java and related technologies.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding, security, and quality standards.
• Mentor and guide software developers through technical coaching and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, architects, QA engineers, and DevOps teams.
• Break down complex business requirements into technical tasks and deliverables.
• Identify and resolve performance, reliability, and production issues.
• Support continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automated testing practices.
• Contribute to technology strategy, system modernization, and process improvement initiatives.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and operational procedures.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, sprint planning, estimation, and release planning.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java 8 or later, object-oriented programming, and design patterns.
• Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, and Spring Security.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
• Familiarity with ORM frameworks such as Hibernate or JPA.
• Experience with unit testing and automated testing frameworks, including JUnit and Mockito.
• Proficiency with Git and modern software development workflows.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
