We are seeking an experienced Java full stack resource to lead the architecture, design, development, and modernization of enterprise-scale applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, React.js, cloud-native architecture, and modern software engineering practices. This role requires strong technical leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing digital solutions.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $120k-$130k/year & benefits (see below)..

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Define end-to-end architecture for enterprise web applications using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and React.js.
• Lead application modernization, cloud migration, and platform transformation initiatives.
• Design scalable, secure, and high-performance APIs and microservices.
• Establish architecture standards, development guidelines, and engineering best practices.
• Drive technical solutioning, effort estimation, sizing, and architecture reviews.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, UX teams, DevOps teams, and other stakeholders to align technology solutions with business goals.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor development teams across multiple projects.
• Ensure solutions meet security, performance, scalability, availability, and compliance requirements.
• Lead CI/CD, DevSecOps, observability, monitoring, and automation initiatives.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions for enterprise transformation.

Requirements:

• Experience in software development, with significant experience in solution or application architecture.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Microservices architecture.
• Expertise in designing RESTful APIs, event-driven systems, and distributed architectures.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, SonarQube, Terraform, or similar.
• Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, or Dynatrace.
• Strong understanding of security best practices including OAuth2, JWT, API security, and secure coding standards.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
