Job summary

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Excellent programming experience in Core Java.
• Implement TDD/BDD with mocking frameworks for testing.
• Understanding of IoC frameworks in Java, such as Spring.
• Knowledge of messaging/streaming tech: Kafka, IBM MQ, Solace or Ignite.
• Strong CI/CD, resiliency, and security fundamentals.
• Familiarity with SDLC and modern software engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Investment Teams, Traders, and PMs, bridging gaps without PMs.
• Contribute to high-profile platforms in a fast-paced environment.
• Work in an agile team, deploying production software regularly.
• Advise on use of leading-edge technologies and architectural decisions.
• Provide technical guidance to engineers, contractors and vendors.
• Shape product design, functionality, and operational processes.
• Serve as SME in one or more focus areas and promote SDLC best practices.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and review peers' work.
