Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer within the Auto Line of Business in Wilmington, DE.

The role focuses on building trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, scalable way, with responsibilities across architecture, development, testing and operations. The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of software engineering experience, strong Java and cloud skills, and a proven track record in automation, CI/CD and agile methodologies.

Qualifications

5+ years of software engineering experience.
Strong Java development skills including React/Angular, Spring, Hibernate, JMS, Spring Boot.
Experience with AWS Cloud deployment and monitoring.
Hands-on SDLC delivery across design, development, testing and operations.
Advanced in one or more programming languages.
Proficiency in automation and CI/CD practices.
Proficient in SDLC and agile methodologies (CI/CD, resiliency, security).
Practical cloud-native experience.
Deep knowledge of financial services IT systems.

Responsibilities

Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and debugging with non-routine problem solving.
Develops secure high-quality production code and reviews code written by others.
Improves stability by automating remediation of recurring issues.
Leads evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams on architecture and technology applicability.
Leads communities of practice to promote new technologies across engineering teams.
Contributes to team culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect.
