Job summary

GDI, Inc. is seeking an on-site Janitorial Supervisor to oversee, train, and direct the janitorial staff, ensuring safety and customer quality standards are met. Monday-Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, assigning shifts, addressing performance issues, inspecting sites, performing cleaning tasks, and enforcing safety policies. 3+ years of supervisory experience and strong integrity are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of janitorial supervisory experience preferred
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to show judgment and to work independently and be able to lead the team
• High integrity required

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train the work of the janitorial staff in the building.
• Designate shift and area work assignments.
• Manage and employee relations or performance issues quickly and appropriately. Document and report to management or HR.
• Inspect the jobsite regularly to identify any quality concerns or project work needed.
• Identify and communicate the need for any special project work to management.
• Use floor cleaning equipment as needed (i.e. buffer, walk behind, spot-carpet cleaner).
• Respond quickly and appropriately to all customer concerns or complaints.
• Enforce all safety policies and procedures; immediately report and investigate accidents.
• Complete training courses as required.
• Cleaning restrooms, breakrooms, common areas, dusting and trash removal.
• Sweeping, mopping and vacuuming.
• Advanced floor care work as needed.

Summary:
