Chrysalis Modern Italian in Franklin, TN seeks an ambitious Head Chef to lead a hands-on, scratch-kitchen operation in a locally-owned modern Italian concept. The ideal candidate will mentor the team, deliver consistent high-quality execution, and uphold health and safety standards while managing a cost-conscious operation.

The role requires leadership experience in kitchens, familiarity with Italian cuisine, and availability to work weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years proven leadership as head chef, sous chef, or kitchen manager.
• Excellent record of kitchen and staff management.
• Understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
• Experience with Food & Labor Cost Controls.
• Previous experience with Italian cuisine and catering.
• ServSafe certified.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
• Proficiency in Spanish.
• Willingness to work weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement new menu items.
• Help conduct daily, weekly and monthly inventory.
• Ensure food prep and storage areas meet health and safety standards.
• Maintain quality, order and discipline.
• Follow established recipes.
• Train support staff to follow recipes and rules/regulations.
• Operate all kitchen stations successfully.
• Maintain punctuality, reliability and accountability.
