Job summary

Los Rios Community College District seeks a senior IT Technician to lead and support complex computer systems across college labs. You will troubleshoot hardware and software, mentor other technicians, and coordinate projects involving instructional servers and databases.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in computer science or related field or equivalent certificate and two years in Information Technology Technician II; OR Associate degree and four years related experience; OR six years training/experience.

• Experience pattern: one year equals 12 months at 40 hours/week; education equivalency rules apply.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in projects of scope including administration of instructional servers for multiple departments and maintenance of databases.
• Provide technical leadership, direction, and training to IT staff and student assistants; manage resources and assignments.
• Assist faculty, staff, and students with hardware, software, and lab operations; troubleshoot and repair problems to maintain lab operation.
