Job summary

DeKalb County Government is seeking an experienced IT leader to supervise day-to-day operations across computer systems, networks, databases and applications, and to manage a customer relations team and project management activities.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, information technology, or related field and five years of progressively responsible IT experience, including lead experience, plus a Georgia driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, information technology, or related field.
• Five years of progressively responsible experience in a centralized Information Technology organization including lead experience.
• Equivalent education/experience considered.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff and oversees performance.
• Organizes and prioritizes work to meet objectives and provides progress reports to management.
• Oversees design, development, maintenance, and analysis of computer systems, networks, databases, voice/data networks, and applications.
• Coordinates projects and collaborates with stakeholders to meet technology needs.
• Monitors technology functions and recommends improvements to processes and systems.
