Job summary

Neurophos is seeking an hands-on Lead IT Engineer to own IT infrastructure across Sunnyvale and Austin. You will manage a co-managed environment with MSPs, eventually insourcing core IT and security operations.

The role focuses on private Linux compute behind EDA/CAD workloads, developer platforms, identity architecture, and secure data separation across sites. You will lead architecture decisions, scale IT from 50 to 150+ staff, and become the senior IT voice in the company from day one,

Qualifications

8+ years in IT engineering, systems administration, or infrastructure operations.
Strong hands-on Linux administration across servers and clusters.
Experience managing MSP or outsourced IT functions and transitioning them in-house.
Ownership mindset with ability to define insourcing roadmap and staff plan.
Willingness to travel between Sunnyvale and Austin as needed.

Responsibilities

Own private cloud and engineering compute infrastructure across sites.
Administer identity and developer platform tooling (SSO, Okta, SAML, SCIM, MFA).
Manage public cloud resources, IAM, networking, and cost visibility.
Design and operate network architecture (switching, VPN, firewall, DNS/DHCP).
Govern MSP relationship, SLAs, escalation paths, and cost control; insource planning.
