Job summary

Neurophos in Sunnyvale, CA, and Austin, TX, seeks a hands-on Lead IT Engineer to own IT infrastructure across both sites. You will steer the transition from an external MSP to in-house IT, defining private cloud, identity, and network architectures as the company scales from 50 to 150+ employees.

Reporting to the SVP of Engineering, you will lead Linux compute, on-prem and cloud environments, and oversee MSP governance while mentoring the growing IT team to ensure security and collaboration

Qualifications

• 8+ years in IT engineering, systems administration, or infrastructure operations at a company under 200 people.
• Strong hands-on Linux system administration: installation, storage, networking, patching, and troubleshooting.
• SSO/IdP administration experience, Okta preferred, SCIM provisioning and deprovisioning.
• Practical network engineering ability: switching, VLANs, firewall policy, VPN, DNS/DHCP.
• MacOS/Windows fleet administration incl. imaging, patching, encryption, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Own private Cloud & Engineering Compute architecture, and manage MSP for core operations.
• Administer identity and developer platforms, including Okta, SAML onboarding, SCIM provisioning, and MFA policy.
• Manage cloud storage and compute (Azure preferred), IAM, networking, cost management, and governance.
