Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Lead IT Applications Engineer to serve as a technical resource for HR, Payroll, Time & Attendance, and Safety applications.

You will combine hands-on development with production support across Oracle, Java EE, Visual Basic, VB.NET, and .NET, collaborating with business users and software vendors. The role requires strong SQL skills, experience with Linux environments and application servers, and the ability to lead and mentor teammates.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field.
• 8–10 years of experience developing and supporting business applications on .NET and/or Java/Java EE.
• Strong Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server skills with PL/SQL and T-SQL.
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments and Java application servers (Tomcat/WebLogic).
• Ability to coordinate with business users and vendors.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, enhance, and support HR, Payroll, Time & Attendance, and Safety applications.
• Write and optimize complex SQL and database code (PL/SQL, T-SQL).
• Provide production support; investigate incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
• Plan upgrades, releases, and testing cycles with cross-functional teams.
• Mentor teammates and lead the team when required.
• Ensure security, change management, and data integrity practices.
