Office of the Indiana Attorney General in Indianapolis seeks an Investigative Supervisor to lead a team of investigators in abuse and neglect investigations in long term care and board and care settings, reporting to the Castleton office.

The ideal candidate has a four-year degree or six years of relevant experience, strong leadership and analytical and communication skills, and the ability to coordinate with law enforcement and healthcare providers; travel will be required.

Qualifications

  • A four-year degree is strongly preferred but not required.
  • If no degree, six years of relevant investigations or related field experience is strongly preferred.
  • Must be able to pass a thorough background investigation, have a valid driver’s license and be willing to attend investigator training.

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervises a team of investigators in Indianapolis; interviews, hires, trains staff and plans workflow.
  • Plans, directs and organizes work of investigators performing abuse and neglect investigations in northern Indiana including Indianapolis.
  • Maintains contact with local, state, and federal law enforcement partners.
  • Gathers and analyzes evidence, interviews witnesses, and correlates findings with investigators.
  • Extensive travel may be required, including to Medicaid provider sites, state offices, jails, and courthouses.
  • Travel to surveillance locations and assist in serving warrants; transport supplies and equipment as needed.
