Job summary

CarMax Austin is seeking a Lead Inventory Associate to guide daily inventory operations and supervise a team of Inventory Associates. You will manage displays, vehicle intake, scanning, and reconciliation to ensure accurate records and a smooth customer experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, interpret, and transcribe data for record-keeping.
• Proven ability to lead a team across departments.
• Capable of prioritizing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied conditions.
• Excellent communication skills, both in person and over the phone.
• Completion of CarMax training in all inventory functions.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Inventory Associates to complete daily tasks efficiently.
• Maintain display areas and work-in-process zones for cleanliness and security.
• Oversee vehicle receiving, scanning, and reconciliation for accurate records.
• Conduct cosmetic inspections and verify saleable inventory meets standards.
• Facilitate vehicle movement on and off the lot to support operations.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and assist associates and customers.
