Job summary

CarMax in Kennesaw, GA seeks a Lead Inventory Associate to coordinate daily inventory tasks and lead a team of Inventory Associates. You will help ensure accurate records, secure displays, and timely vehicle processing while supporting the Reconditioning Production Manager.

This role requires data interpretation, cross‑department collaboration, and the ability to work nights and weekends. You will uphold CarMax quality standards and deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and transcribe data accurately.
• Proven cross-department collaboration and leadership.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Excellent communication, in person and by phone.
• Completion of CarMax training in all inventory functions.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Inventory Associates to perform daily tasks.
• Maintain display areas and work-in-progress zones for cleanliness and security.
• Oversee vehicle receiving, scanning, and reconciliation for accurate inventory records.
• Conduct cosmetic inspections; ensure saleable inventory meets standards.
• Facilitate vehicle movement on and off the lot.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to associates and customers.
• Follow CarMax EH&S requirements and keep areas clean.
