Job summary

Mom's Meals is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to ensure inventory accuracy on the production floor. This hands-on role will count items, maintain FEFO and lot codes, and drive improvements to streamline product flow and system scans.

The position requires 2+ years in cycle counting or inventory coordination and proficiency in Excel, with physical work including lifting up to 50 pounds. Work is on-site at our facility.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years' Cycle Count or Inventory Coordination experience.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for long periods.
  • Proficient with Excel and reporting.
  • Capable of cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities

  • Physically count items in inventory and maintain FEFO and lot code tracking.
  • Build and use reports to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy on pick lines and in ERP/WMS.
  • Investigate root causes of inaccuracies and drive corrective actions.
  • Update inventory quantities in ERP/WMS when discrepancies are found.
  • Resolve outbound order errors and support change processes.

Job description

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for inventory accuracy in the facility. This position is a hands on position, and it's estimated that approximately 85% of a typical day will be physically counting inventory, ensuring proper FEFO, Lot code tracking, and assisting with operational inventory issues. The remaining time will be spent researching root causes of found inventory errors and working with other team members and functions to ensure proper procedures are followed.

Position Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to
  • Physically count items in inventory using appropriate processes, and forms
  • Build and use reports to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and FEFO on pick line
  • Actively drive continuous improvement initiatives that streamline and simplify the flow of product and system scans
  • Identify and document root causes of inventory inaccuracies
  • Update and maintain inventory quantities in ERP/WMS system when discrepancies are found
  • Resolve Outbound order errors when they occur in the facility
  • Proactively set up and drive cross-functional corrective actions plans to eliminate root causes identified and support the change process

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

  • Proficient in Excel and able to develop clear and concise spreadsheets and reports
  • Work in various temperature ranges from -10 to ambient
  • Must obtain lift certification within 30 days of start
