Responsibilities

Fairmount Behavioral Health Hospital is a 239‑bed short‑term acute care facility serving children, adolescents, adults, and seniors with mental health and substance use disorders. As an Admissions Supervisor we provide supervisory oversight to the Admissions Department, assign responsibilities to ensure orderly admission of patients, and maintain communication with referral sources, families, patients, and unit staff. Responsibilities also include daily census reconciliation, insurance verification, accurate tracking of admissions, discharges, and transfers in the hospital computer system, telephonic backup to the Needs Assessment Department by scheduling assessment appointments and fielding referrals during high call volume times, and managing the Admissions Department in the absence of the Director of Admissions or Assistant Director of Admissions.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred.
• At least two years of admissions or billing experience in a healthcare organization; supervisory experience preferred.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with referral sources and internal staff.
