Qualifications

• High School Diploma/ GED required.
• Understanding of insurance benefits and medical terminology.
• 2-3 years healthcare experience; physician or hospital preferred.
• 1 year supervision experience preferred.
• MS Office and Excel skills required.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• English reading/writing/speaking required.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Insurance Verification team and ensure timely patient insurance verification.
• Verify benefits, eligibility, pre-certification and prior authorization requirements.
• Monitor staff productivity and maintain standards for provider schedules.
• Coordinate with billing and care teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Train and mentor Insurance Verification staff and designees.
