Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Understanding of insurance benefits and medical terminology.
• 2–3 years healthcare experience; physician or hospital experience preferred.
• Previous training and employee supervision (1 year) preferred.
• Microsoft Office proficiency; Excel skills required.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong written and verbal English communication; read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Promotes the facility mission, vision and values in daily operations.
• Monitors IV staff productivity and ensures the team is ahead in insurance verification.
• Complete assigned reports or tasks within deadlines set by the Director.
• Verify patient benefits and eligibility for scheduled services.
• Serve as the go-to person for providers and management issues in the Insurance Verification group.
