Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services seeks a Leadman Insulator to lead a crew of insulation craftsmen on refinery and LNG projects. You will install, maintain, and remove thermal and acoustic insulation, read isometrics and schedules, and ensure work meets project specs and safety standards on site.

You will plan assignments, coordinate materials and equipment, train workers, perform quality inspections, and report progress to supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of industrial insulation experience required.
• Previous leadman, foreman, or crew leadership experience preferred.
• Experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, refinery, LNG, power generation, or industrial construction environments required.
• Knowledge of insulation specifications, metal fabrication, and industrial safety procedures.
• OSHA 10, OSHA 30, NCCER, or equivalent craft certifications preferred.
• TWIC card may be required depending on project location.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily insulation crew activities.
• Plan work to optimize manpower, materials, and tools.
• Read isometrics, blueprints, specifications, insulation schedules, and work packages.
• Install, remove, repair, and maintain insulation on equipment.
• Measure, cut, fit, and install insulation materials.
• Fabricate and install metal jacketing, lagging, and weatherproofing systems.
• Coordinate material requirements and verify proper material usage.
• Conduct quality inspections to meet company and client standards.
• Train and mentor insulators on installation techniques and safety.
• Participate in pre-job planning, toolbox talks, and safety discussions.
• Communicate project progress to supervisors.
• Maintain records of labor and production.
