Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking an experienced insulation leadman to install, remove and repair insulating material on surfaces such as air ducts, pipes, tanks and boilers to help control temperature and reduce noise.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, measuring and cutting insulation, applying adhesives, fitting insulation around equipment and securing it with seals and fasteners. 3–5 years journeyman experience is preferred and the candidate should be able to work at heights.

Qualifications

• Education – no minimum education requirements.
• Experience – 3-5 years of Journeyman level experience.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints and selects required insulation material.
• Work at heights with no fear.
• Brush adhesives on or attach metal adhesive application to insulation material.
• Determine the amounts and selects required insulation material based on temperature, surface, and equipment use.
• Using measuring tools, measure and cut insulation material to size and shape for surfaces.
• Fit, wrap or attach insulation around structures following blueprint specifications.
• Seal insulation using covers, tape or sealant to secure it in place.
