Job summary
US Tech Solutions is seeking an instrumentation design engineer for a 6-month contract in Houston, TX. You will deliver safe, fit-for-purpose instrument designs to meet schedule and budget, serving as the project lead for instrument design and as the technical interface with client teams.
The role requires an engineering degree or instrumentation diploma, strong English communication, and hands-on experience with instrument deliverables and SP3D, SPI or PDS tools.
Qualifications
- Engineering or instrumentation degree/diploma with relevant work experience.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Experience generating instrumentation deliverables (diagrams, layouts, MTOs).
- Knowledge of plant layouts and model reviews.
- Experience with SPI/SP3D/PDS tools.
Responsibilities
- Delivery of instrumentation design deliverables for client projects.
- Lead for instrument design on projects and act as technical interface with client teams.
- Support other engineering centers as workload requires.
- Adhere to company standards and project specifications.
- Generate deliverables like instrument index, layouts, cable schedules, wiring diagrams, MTOs.
- 3D modelling of equipment using SP3D.
- Participate in model reviews and contribute to design strategies.
- Communicate issues and requirements clearly to stakeholders.
