Job summary

JT4, LLC is seeking an Instrumentation Design Engineer to join our Edwards AFB team. You will lead design, development, and integration activities for complex hardware and software systems, coordinating with engineering technicians to meet project deadlines and test requirements.

The role requires a BS in Engineering with 4 years of related experience or an MS with 2 years (or a PhD). Strong CAD (SolidWorks) and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to obtain security

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution with 4 years related experience, or an MS with 2+ years, or a PhD.
• Mastery of engineering concepts, ability to act as technical authority on projects.
• Working knowledge of computer-based engineering tools and systems.
• Ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions for hardware/software.
• Excellent communication, analytical, planning and organizational skills.
• Must possess driver’s license and ability to obtain security clearance and US citizenship.

• Lead development and coordinate engineers on complex assignments.
• Perform design, development, analysis, or review tasks under deadlines.
• Plan engineering steps and resolve problems using standard practices.
• Prepare complete design specifications and support projects with detailed instructions.
• Conduct research on equipment or systems using computer-assisted methods.
• Prepare, deliver, and submit technical design presentations for reviews.
• Act as liaison for design reviews and technical working groups.
• Provide mechanical design support for the Global Power Bomber program.
