Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior I&C Engineer to independently lead complex projects and guide a team of engineers and designers as the Discipline Lead. The role focuses on evaluating, specifying, and engineering I&C systems for large projects, with field work and potential international travel.

The incumbent will oversee scope, budget, staffing, and schedules, and will produce construction documents, specifications, and QA/QC. Strong communication and team mentoring are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering; MS preferred.
• PE license in Controls/Electrical in AZ or reciprocity.
• 15+ years of instrumentation & controls experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead large, high-complexity projects and coordinate internal/external teams.
• Evaluate, select, and engineer I&C systems for projects.
• Develop designs via sketches, models, diagrams and details.
• Prepare and revise site plans, diagrams, schematics and specs.
• Lead project coordination meetings with stakeholders and vendors.
• Contribute to cost estimating and project scope management.
• Manage budgets, staffing, and schedules across multiple projects.
• Serve as Engineer of Record and ensure QA/QC on projects.
