Job summary

codeCampus is seeking to hire a Lead Instructor in the San Diego area to train and teach students in STEAM topics using our curriculum.

You will work with partner schools, lead classes for grades K-8, and bring expertise in music production or theory to enrich lessons. Training is paid, and the program runs Monday through Friday in the current school year and beyond.

Qualifications

• Available to start training immediately (paid).
• Available to start instructing immediately.
• Available Monday to Friday.
• Experience teaching and managing large groups of youth in an academic setting.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Access to reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Willing to go through our professional development training program.
• Background in performing, composing, or mentoring youth in musical environments.

Responsibilities

As a Lead Instructor, you will:

• Work with site staff at our partner schools in the area
• Lead STEAM lessons for students in their classrooms using our proprietary curriculum
• Teach students in grades K-8th
• Demonstrated experience in music production, audio engineering, or music theory, with proficiency in standard Digital Audio Workstations including GarageBand, Logic, Pro Tools, or comparable

Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is $25/hr depending on experience, with opportunities for pay raises based on performance and time with the company.
