Job summary

Adams and Associates, Inc. is seeking a Cook II at Delaware Valley Job Corps Center in Callicoon, NY. This full-time position involves preparing meals per menus, ensuring portions, quality, nutrition, and sanitation, while supporting student-focused programs.

The role may supervise Food Service staff and Work-Based Learning students during shifts, maintain a clean kitchen, and ensure compliance with health and safety requirements. Availability for assigned shifts is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience in commercial, institutional, or food service cooking preferred.
• Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and kitchen operations.
• Ability to follow recipes and prepare large quantities.
• Ability to work with students and staff in a structured environment.
• ServSafe certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and food safety standards.
• Produce quantities efficiently with portion control and minimal waste.
• Perform recipe calculations and use production schedules.
• Maintain clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen and dining areas.
• Supervise Food Service staff and Work-Based Learning students when needed.
• Provide quality customer service and positive interactions with students.
