DESIGNED THEATRE VISIONS INC is seeking a full-time Installer & Programmer for high-end residential AV and network systems in Fort Myers, Florida. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience, enjoys fieldwork, and possesses a strong understanding of programming and network systems.

The position offers a competitive hourly wage between $18 and $50, along with benefits including 401(k) matching, medical insurance, and paid time off. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with some overtime required.

Qualifications

• 5 years of steady work history in related positions.
• Comfortable with climbing ladders and using tools.
• Willingness to learn and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Programming AV control systems with Control4, Savant/Crestron.
• Pulling, terminating, and testing low-voltage cabling.
• Mounting devices at cable termination points.
• Building and lacing equipment racks.
• Troubleshooting devices.

High-End Residential AV/Network/Control Systems Installer & Programmer (PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT AN IT, STAGE THEATER, OR SOUND ENGINEER POSITION! IT IS A FIELD TECHNICAL POSITION WITH EXPERIENCE IN RESIDENTIAL AUDIO/VIDEO, NETWORKS, HOME AUTOMATION AND INTEGRATION.)

Naturally curious and technically inclined, they love exploring how things work. Not afraid to learn from those with more knowledge and mentor those eager to learn.

You Have: Hands‑on experience at construction sites, comfortable climbing ladders, pulling cabling, and using both power and hand tools. Maintained a steady work history over the past 5 years across different positions, bringing a friendly attitude and strong emotional intelligence to the work environment. Proven ability to provide superior customer service and willingness to do whatever it takes when needed.

Responsibilities

• Programming (Control4 required, Savant/Crestron highly preferred)
• Pull, terminate, and test low‑voltage cabling (Coax, Category, Fiber, Speaker, Lutron, Crestron)
• Mount devices at cable termination points
• Build and lace equipment racks
• Advanced understanding of networks
• Advanced setup and configuration of devices
• Advanced troubleshooting of devices
• Lower skills or no programming experience results in lesser pay
