Rich AV Design, LLC is seeking an experienced Installer/Programmer to elevate smart home and commercial systems from a Stamford, CT base with projects across New York City, Fairfield County, and Long Island. Expect hands-on wiring, programming, and troubleshooting, with a strong emphasis on quality and client satisfaction.

You are a seasoned AV professional with 5+ years of experience, adept at Calibrating systems, configuring networks, and delivering polished, reliable environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of AV integration experience in residential or commercial settings.
• Strong grasp of network infrastructure—routers, firewalls, switches, WiFi APs.
• Proficient using both PC and Mac platforms.
• Solid knowledge of calibration and testing of control systems.
• Ability to read schematics, follow build plans, and adapt in real-time.
• Clear communicator with a clean driving record and valid driver's license.
• Must pass a comprehensive background check.

Responsibilities

• Program Savant/Control4 and Lutron systems.
• Install and configure wired and wireless networking hardware.
• Fabricate and wire equipment racks with clean layouts.
• Terminate and test Cat5/6, coaxial, and fiber cabling.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues and support teammates.

What You'll Do (aka Your Superpowers in Action)

You'll be on the front lines of delivering sleek, sophisticated home automation solutions. From wiring and mounting to programming and troubleshooting, you'll help create intuitive, reliable systems that make tech feel like magic. You'll also be the go-to expert when things need a tune-up, and a helpful resource to teammates and clients alike.

The Nitty-Gritty Details (aka What You'll Crush Daily) System Installations & Programming

• Program new and existing Savant or Control4 control systems and Lutron lighting/shading systems
• Install and configure wired and wireless networking hardware
• Fabricate and wire equipment racks, ensuring clean layouts and secure terminations
• Terminate and test Cat5/6, coaxial, and fiber cabling with precision

Troubleshooting & Tech Support

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues with both new and legacy systems
• Provide support to fellow team members and offer guidance when needed
• Interface directly with clients to ensure optimal performance and satisfaction

Requirements (What You Bring to the Table)

• 5+ years of AV integration experience in residential or commercial settings

Your Playground: Projects primarily in New York City, Fairfield County, and Long Island

Your Schedule: Full-time with overtime opportunities

Hours: Monday - Friday | 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Compensation

Our salary range is intentionally broad - we're looking for specific skill sets and experience levels. Compensation will be determined based on what you bring to the table, including technical expertise, certifications, and leadership capabilities.
