Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Lead Installer to supervise installers, train crews, and support branch operations. The role focuses on safely installing and removing temporary walls per spec, overseeing field crews, handling dispatch and paperwork, and maintaining professional standards on site.

Candidates must have a high school diploma with 2 years wall installation experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift heavy panels.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus 2 years of wall installation experience or related.
• Proven leadership abilities in leading different teams on assignments.
• Ability to motivate others to get the job done under heavy workload and tight deadlines.
• Current driver’s license in good standing.
• Able to complete paperwork accurately and thoroughly.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others.
• Knowledge of general tools and equipment (drills, power tools, forklifts, banding equipment).
• Ability to physically handle heavy wall panels (approx. 30-60 lbs).
• Must have own transportation.
• Experience operating a forklift and a one-ton truck preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Supervise installers, train crews, and give feedback to branch manager and workers.
• Learn office functions of the branch including daily safety meetings, dispatch, scheduling, and contract management.
• Review P&L with manager and identify improvement areas.
• Perform branch manager duties in their absence.
• Plan, implement, and manage tasks per priorities and goals.
• Ensure safe setup and takedown of temporary walls at customer sites.
• Inspect jobs and complete operational paperwork and logs.
• Maintain clean and organized worksites and vehicle loads.
• Ensure timely arrival and safe travel between sites.
