Job summary

Retail Insight in Cincinnati seeks a Lead Insight Analyst to partner with Kroger stakeholders and drive data-driven decisions. You will translate datasets into actionable recommendations, identify trends and lead analytics projects from start to finish while mentoring junior analysts.

The role emphasizes strong communication, stakeholder management, and experience in retail analytics, FMCG, or consumer-facing industries would be advantageous.

What you'll be doing

As a Lead Insight Analyst, you'll work closely with Kroger stakeholders and Retail Insight colleagues to deliver analysis that supports strategic and operational decision-making.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Acting as a trusted analytics partner within the Kroger business.
• Managing and delivering bespoke ad-hoc insight requests from stakeholders across multiple business functions.
• Translating complex datasets into meaningful, actionable recommendations.
• Identifying trends, risks and opportunities within retail performance data.
• Presenting findings and recommendations to client stakeholders in a clear and engaging way.
• Leading analytical projects from initial brief through to delivery and implementation.
• Supporting and mentoring junior analysts where required.
• Collaborating with internal Retail Insight teams to ensure consistency, quality and best practice.
• Helping to shape and evolve insight solutions based on changing client needs.

What we're looking for

You will be someone who combines strong analytical capability with excellent stakeholder management skills.

We're particularly interested in people who have:

• Significant experience in data, analytics or insight-focused roles.
• Previous experience working directly with business stakeholders or clients.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience turning data into practical business recommendations.Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
• A proactive and commercially minded approach to problem solving.
• Experience within grocery retail, FMCG or consumer-facing industries would be advantageous.

Technical skills

We'd love to see experience with some of the following:

• SQL
• Power BI, Tableau or similar visualisation tools
• Excel
  Data analysis and statistical methodologies
• Retail or customer performance metrics
