H. T. PROF Group is seeking an Injection Molding Lead Technician for the 3rd shift in Ixonia, WI. This hands-on role requires overseeing a small team, fine-tuning processing parameters, and ensuring ISO-quality standards on a modern molding line.

You will lead tooling changeovers, mentor operators, and maintain production targets while working closely with management that values off-shift staff and stability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of dedicated, hands-on experience executing tool setups and processing logic on plastic injection molding presses.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and polymer literacy—a deep understanding of various resin behaviors (engineering-grade vs. commodity plastics) and custom molding variables.
• Lead-by-example leadership style with a calm, reliable demeanor capable of managing shop priorities without direct oversight.
• Stable employment history demonstrating professional longevity, reliability, and commitment to past employers.
• Proximity to the plant, with established residence within a dependable daily commuting distance of the Greater Ixonia / Jefferson County area.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the hands-on floor supervisor for 3rd shift, managing line scheduling and keeping a 3-person team safe, motivated, and productive.
• Execute end-to-end tooling changeovers, safely hanging molds, connecting water lines, blending raw materials, and loading resins into dryer systems.
• Diagnose and correct molding defects (sinks, splay, short shots, flash) by adjusting pressures, temperatures, and cycle times to lock in ideal processing windows.
• Manage resin transitions and equipment sanitation, including cleaning hoppers, auxiliary loaders, and grinders to prevent material cross-contamination.
• Perform physical part sampling and quality checks against technical drawings to maintain 100% compliance with ISO quality standards.
• Train and mentor machine operators on standard operating procedures, lean 5S workspace organization, and facility safety protocols.
